
Edinburgh Music Competition Festival
The Festival is an annual event for amateur musicians of all ages. We offer competitive and non-competitive classes for instrumentalists, singers and ensembles to perform their pieces in a friendly environment. All our classes are overseen by a specialist adjudicator who provides supportive feedback on the performance.

The timetable for the 2026 Festival can be found here. The Festival began on March 3, and entry is free. You are welcome to drop in and listen to the performances of the musicians of the future.

Information Slip
Each performer is asked to complete an Information Slip for the adjudicators.
To save time it is recommended you download the Performer's Information Slip here so that you can print and complete it at home. (Note there are three slips on the downloaded page, you only need one per entry in each class.)

Concert of Highlights - March 15, 6pm
​The Highlights' Concert, which features performances from a variety of the classes takes place on on March 15. The concert concludes with the final round of the Concerto Competition (see below). Order your tickets here.

The preliminary round of the Concerto class took place on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January. The four soloists who are through to the final round and the music they will play on March 15 in St Cuthberts Parish Church, Lothian Road are:
