Donations from a number of other bodies and from many individuals are invaluable to us. In addition, we are indebted to those many people who give freely of their time both during the Festival and throughout the year and who, with all those who participate, make the Festival the success it is.
These include the members of our Festival Council, our stewards at the Festival and Mr Norman Motion for tuning our pianos. Without all this generosity we would not be able to maintain the Festival’s quality and breadth. The Edinburgh Music Competition Festival has been held for 100 years and we should like to see it continue to offer young people and adults the chance to perform for another 100 years.

As a charity we rely totally on our supporters to enable us to run the Festival. You could support us financially in a number of ways such as:

sponsoring a page in the Festival Programme at £22 per entry

leaving us a gift in your will to support a new generation of young musicians (If your estate is subject to inheritance tax a gift to a charity, such as the Competition Festival, will reduce the amount of tax payable.)
